New RVTI–accredited course expands Airxcel’s growing portfolio of advanced technical training for the RV service industry
ELKHART, Ind., July 16, 2026 — Velarium, an Airxcel®, Inc. brand, has launched its first RV Technical Institute (RVTI) Level 3 accredited training program for its RV awning systems, expanding its commitment to supporting the professional RV service industry through advanced technical education.
The 1.5-hour course is designed specifically for RV technicians seeking deeper technical expertise in Velarium awning systems, with a strong emphasis on warranty service, diagnostics, and best practices for repair and replacement. As an RVTI Level 3 Accredited Training Provider, Velarium joins fellow Airxcel brands Dicor, Aqua-Hot, Suburban and Coleman-Mach in offering RVTI-approved technical training.
Industry‑Led Training Supports RV Technicians with Practical Expertise
The Velarium training curriculum covers real-world service scenarios, familiarizes trainees with manual, electric and integrated awning models, and addresses key parts like fabrics, arms, motors and sensors. It also includes diagnostics, warranty requirements, removal/replacement, calibration, testing and troubleshooting.
Training will be led by Todd Vice, Director of Aftermarket Sales for Velarium, and is structured to help technicians perform efficient, accurate service while reducing warranty claim issues and improving customer outcomes.
