AIRXCEL PRESENTS ITS PORTFOLIO OF EV READY PRODUCTS

Jan 28, 2022-- Airxcel, Inc. is excited to present a portfolio of electric vehicle (EV) ready products from its highly recognizable family of manufactured and distributed brands for the RV market. The EV ready collection contains a full range of environmental control and luxury comfort products for electric Class B campervans, Class C motorhomes and travel trailers that also have boondocking capabilities.

“Airxcel has a legacy of innovation that’s driven us into the EV market,” said Jeff Rutherford, president and CEO of Airxcel. “It’s a new age for RVs with rapidly expanding options for electric vehicles and increased demand for the use of alternative power sources that let RV enthusiasts boondock with comfort. Product development at Airxcel has focused on pursuing advancements in this exciting and innovative area of RV design to create the best possible products for our customers. We’ve developed new products for this category, and many of our existing products are already ideally suited for the EV market and off-grid camping.”

Contributing to the collection of leading-edge products from Airxcel with both future EV applications and current boondocking capabilities are Aqua-Hot with a premium hydronic heating system, Coleman-Mach with energy efficient air conditioners, Dicor Products with a complete line of roofing products, Maxxair with a deluxe ventilation system, MCD Innovations with motorized RV shades, Suburban with high-end kitchen appliances and United Shade with insulating window treatments.

“We also have a responsibility to our OEM customers to be responsive to consumer demands,” explained Rutherford. “Right now, we’re seeing an incredible interest from our buyers in all-electric options because they expand the usability and overall comfort of recreational vehicles especially for boondockers.”

EV ready products allow for more fuel independence with the ability to go off-road and off-grid without sacrificing comfort or safety. Current industry trends continue to show the demand for new RVs will outpace the number of available campsites making off-grid performance an expectation rather than a luxury for many RVers.
